We wish you a very warm welcome to the Reef Club Port Douglas Self Catering Apartments, and our beautiful town. It is our pleasure to have you as our guest.
Our aim is to provide you with a comfortable base to enable you to explore the many
pleasures and experiences of Port Douglas and surroundings.
This compendium has been put together to give you easy access to information, so please take some time to familiarise yourself with the services and facilities.

Check-in is 2:00 pm and check out is 10:00 am.
We are happy to arrange an extension for you, subject to availability.
A day rate will be charged for guests departing after 10 am. Please contact Reception if you wish to delay your departure or extend your stay the day before departure.
An iron and ironing board is in your wardrobe.
Extra pillows & blankets are in the wardrobe.
TEA & COFFEE MAKING FACILITIES
These are provided in your room. Extra tea, coffee and milk is available at Reception at a small cost.

Located in the cupboard under the TV.
The apartment has individual Air-conditioners operated by individual remote controllers located on the walls. Note that for best efficiency they must be kept on the cooling cycle and set at no less than 24 degrees. Any lower and the humidity may freeze the unit.
We remind guests this is a self-catering apartment. Please respect the premises and leave the property as you found it. Wash/dry and put away all dishes and remove rubbish to the appropriate bins. Additional cleaning costs will be charged if the apartment is left in an unacceptable condition.
A mid-stay service is included in on a stay of 7 days or more, under 7 days stay only on request. Cleaning can be arranged for a fee – please contact Reception to arrange.
Please do not hesitate to advise us if there are any maintenance issues with your room.
Please do not tamper/remove or cover smoke detectors, a repair charge may be applied if smoke detectors are tampered with.
NO PARTY POLICY
We remind guests that we have a strict No Party Policy. Any behavior regarded to be disturbing the peace will result in eviction from the property.
Should you have any disturbance from a neighboring apartment, please contact Reception (Dial 9) 0r call 4099 4900.
Upon booking, a credit card pre-authorisation is required and will be used to cover incidental items including (but not limited to) breakages/damages, lost or stolen property, excessive cleaning charges above the normal level of cleaning due to the apartment being left in an unacceptable state, etc.
Anti-smoking regulations prohibit smoking in all inside and outside common areas as well as inside apartments. Smoking is only allowed in your balcony.
Smoking is also prohibited in the pool area & Reception. Please note we will levy a cleaning charge for smoking in any apartment.
FACILITIES AND SERVICES
RECEPTION (DIAL 9)
Open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm daily.
From 8:00am to 3:00pm Saturday.
From 8:00 am to 2:00 pm Sunday and public holidays.
After hours Caretaker, please dial 9 from your room phone, or phone outside Reception.
WATER, SNACKS AND SOFT DRINKS
Water bottles, soft drinks, confectionery, ice creams & chips are in Reception (office hours only).
INTERNET WI-FI ACCESS
In-room internet Wi-Fi is offered free and a password has been provided to you by Reception on your arrival.
Connect to any Wi-Fi access areas within the resort, connection point beginning with “APT xx”
Where xx is your apartment number.
The pool and BBQ area have Wi-Fi access with the same password.
The pool opening hours are between 9:00 am and 9:00 pm. (During COVID restricted hours)
Pool towels are available from Reception for a small fee.
Your attention is drawn to the pool regulations poolside:
No glassware within the pool area
Please note children under the age of 14 must always have adult supervision.
Our self-service guest laundry offers washing and drying facilities with coin-operated machines. The washing and drying machines take 4x $1.00 coins. The laundry is located in building 1 underground car park.
Coins and additional washing powder are available at Reception (Open Reception hours only).
By-Laws and Health regulations do not permit pets in apartments or grounds.
A bicycle rack is available in the underground car park and at the rear car park. Bicycles are not allowed in the Apartments.
Please register your bicycles with Reception as soon as possible to avoid removal.
On check out, please remember to leave your keys at the Reception desk or the drop box at Reception.
There is a free share book library in the reception area. Please enjoy a book and if possible share others that you may have already read.
To the airport
Private shuttles services are available from Reception; booking is required.
There are many day tour/shuttles/taxi options in this area. Please see our Reception for more information.
The Reef Club is a child-friendly property, but as a place of relaxation and rejuvenation, respect for other's serenity is expected. Children under 14 years should not be unsupervised on the property. Proper supervision of children in the pool area requires an adult within the pool fence perimeter. Pool rules must be adhered to both for children and parents to ensure safety and enjoyment for all resort guests.
COTS AND HIGHCHAIR
Porta-cots and high chairs are available for your use for a small fee when pre-arranged. If you require a cot or high chair, please contact Reception.
Stroller, Beach buckets and spades are provided free of charge for your convenience (pending availability). Please ensure they are cleaned and returned to storage upon departure.
For your convenience there are 2 free secure (guest only) parking areas;
for guests staying in Tower 1, please use the underground car park.
For guests staying in Tower 2, please use the rear car park.
Parking is allocated on a first in basis, with no pre-allocations.

INSECTS AND OTHER CREATURES
Mosquitos and sand flies can be prevalent in the tropics. Use of personal insect repellent is recommended. Burning insect coils can also assist with keeping the bugs away, but NOT inside units, please. Bandicoots, green frogs, flying ants, green ants, geckos and rhinoceros beetles are other wildlife you may encounter in the tropics. Please treat with respect. Report any snake sightings to Reception.
All mail can be left at Reception for posting. Please enquire at Reception about the information on postal charges and the purchase of stamps.

Newspapers can be purchased at our Local Newsagency located next to Coles on Macrossan Street.
A limited range of extra amenities and toiletries are available to purchase from Reception.
ACTIVITIES AND ATTRACTIONS
The Reef Club has an extensive Tour Desk available with FREE advice. We advise you to, book as early as possible as seats may be limited. For more information, come and see our helpful staff at Reception who can assist in choosing the best tour to suit your adventure desires. Tours & Activities are booked free of charge as a service to our guests and can be added to your room account to be settled on departure. Touring options are endless.

FIRE, SAFETY AND EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
FIRE EVACUATION PROCEDURES
The Reef Club Apartments are fully equipped with multiple smoke detectors, and a fire blanket is located under the sink in the kitchen.
An emergency fire evacuation plan is located on the back of the front door. Please familiarise yourself with the plan in the unlikely event of a fire.
Should you become aware of a fire or smell smoke, please contact management and
dial 000. Remain calm. If you are asked to evacuate the building and heat or smoke
is evident, please stay close to the floor and crawl on your hands and knees. Exit the
building via the nearest exit and move clear of the building. Do not re-enter the
building until emergency services have declared the site safe.
